The Tradewind ATS-RC Alternating Pressure Mattress with remote control was made specifically to address the needs of people with debilitating conditions that have limited their mobility, not their independence.Tradewind ATS-RC combines alternating pressure with low air loss and the convenience of a wired handheld remote.

Traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI) is a significant cause of disability, with profound physical, functional and emotional consequences. While TSCI does not exclusively compromise the life of the individual after the incident, the decrease in functional independence has the greatest impact on many individuals. However, many TSCI patients with Paraplegia or Quadriplegia want to be self-reliant to control their own comfort or to be part of the caregiving process which includes the prevention of pressure ulcers.

The Tradewind™ ATS-RC with handheld remote control is the newest innovation in high-performance Therapeutic Mattress Systems. Tradewind™ offers unparalleled performance and value for the prevention and treatment of Stage I-IV pressure ulcers and patient independence and control 24/7. 

The Tradewind ATS-RC with a wired patient remote is easy to operate, easy to read handheld remote. The remote provides control over mattress pump functions including:

Patient Comfort - The handheld remote allows the patient to control and find that balance of skin protection and personalized comfort without the need of a care-giver. Comfort can change depending on the patient's position in bed, (ex., Low Fowler, Semi-Fowler Position). The handheld remote allows adjustment of the individualized comfort when inclined at steeper angles and excellent for those who are disproportionally weighted to find comfort.

Ease of Transfer - The handheld remote allows the patient to set the system into the static mode for ease of safe transfer.

The Tradewind™ ATS-RC is comprised of a heavy-duty alternating pressure low air loss mattress, quiet dual-mode alternating pressure pump with handheld remote control. User-friendly controls and ease of setup make Tradewind™ ideal for acute, long term care, hospice, and the homebound patient. Tradewind™-ATS-RC utilizes 17 independent 8″ deep segmented air bladders to provide pressure redistribution. A Multi-directional stretch cover is loose fitting and will conform to the patient. The mattress was designed to fit all standard hospital beds. Tradewind™ ATS is available in 35", 42” & 48” bariatric sizes and supports up to 750 lbs. Tradewind™ meets California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy. An optional fire barrier is available to meet the most stringent fire safety requirements when requested.

MATTRESS: 
Tradewind™ ATS-RC mattress utilizes 17 independent 8″ deep segmented air cells to provide maximum pressure redistribution. 3 Static bladders in the head section, 10 Ventilated alternating low air loss bladders, 4 alternating heel protection bladders. The ventilated bladders feature lasered air holes in sacral and torso areas to help minimize skin maceration by reducing excess moisture under patient. All bladders are constructed of extremely durable (TPU) thermal polyurethane, ensuring strength, reliability, and patient comfort. Reinforced hoses prevent air restriction due to kinking. A static air base prevents bottoming out during power outages. Tradewind™ meets California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy.

COVER: 
The low shear cover helps prevent shearing injuries and is low friction. The quilted Multi-directional stretch fabric conforms to the patient for maximum comfort. Made from Vyvex-III™, the cover allows for the low air loss therapy, however, is fluid and stain resistant. The cover helps to transfer moisture away from the patient’s skin. Vyvex-III cleans easily and is anti-microbial and fire retardant. Cover cleans easily with a simple bleach/water solution or medical wipe appropriate for porous surfaces. 

CPR Valve: Quickly deflates mattress system for medical emergencies. A simple twist releases the air immediately.
