Gel Recliner Seat Cushion for Lazy Boy and Lift Chair Recliners.

Recliner cushions lose their spring and support. When this happens the cushion must be replaced. However, recliner and lift chair manufacturers do not make replacement cushions when the recliner is just a few years old.

Our Gel Recliner Seat cushion is made to fit on top of the existing lazy boy style and lift chair recliners. Our gel cushion helps to relieve pain, improves comfort and support and has more pressure redistribution qualities than the original cushion that shipped with the chair.  The pressure redistribution properties of a seating surface with gel and foam integrated into one cushion are well documented.

The foam shell of the Gel Recliner Seat Pad is constructed from a high-density Certipur™ foam surrounding our segmented gel bladder. Certipur™ foams are healthier, made without toxic heavy metals & formaldehyde, and don't emit chemical odors. The extremely durable welded bladder will not leak and contains an aqueous gel to provide comfort and unsurpassed pressure redistribution. The Gel Recliner Seat Replacement Cushion can be utilized in the prevention of pressure ulcers. Pressure ulcers can occur when the interface pressures between the body and the seating surface constrict blood flow. The aqueous, highly viscous gel provides for proper immersion and envelopment around the bony prominences which are most vulnerable to skin breakdown and discomfort. The foam / gel recliner cushions help to stabilize and maintain proper seating while reducing the “rocking” motion found in many other types of gel cushions. Gel Recliner Cushion for Lift Chairs is covered in a waterproof vinyl and low-shear nylon type material. The cover material helps reduce heat and moisture build-up which can be a significant concern in the prevention of pressure ulcers. The cover materials are fluid and stain resistant, anti-microbial and meet California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy.
